Intro: when the human brain experiences trauma it creates a split, or a part of the person that is separated in order to deal with the trauma or difficulty. This is a protection mechanism made by God for our brains to defend itself. So when someone feels emotionally fragmented and the Holy Spirit is leading towards emotional healing, it may be that you need to interface with the person’s splits. It is far more common than you might think….
If you are a prayer leader or have had experiences dealing with demons…this will seem like a strange “mode” to shift into…interfacing with splits of a humans personality is not the same rules or posture one deals with demons or spirits. Demons are dealt with authority, whereas splits are treated with cordiality and respect. Remember that you are in fact interacting with a part of a person, albeit one that has been isolated, but an individual nonetheless. This means that they have feelings, personality, likes/dislikes, concerns, etc. Splits often have their own names and age (often the moment trauma happens is their “birth”) and they must be saved and delivered if they are not already. They can have their own separate demonic attachments with associated roots they need freed from, and unfortunately my experience has been roughly 25% of splits I’ve interfaced with are in fact demons in disguise (this last detail is an easy one to sort out…obvious sensation of darkness will occur when interfacing with them, after introducing yourself in the method used for splits, use the ‘1 John 4 test’ and ask them if they are truly a part of the person or a demonic spirit. They always answer truthfully when employing 1 John 4 preamble).
Confused yet? I was too, at first. Holy Spirit continued to lead me further in, and so I continued gaining experiences and seeing many set free. Understanding dissociative disorders allows for healing very common and “uncureable” mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, multi-personality disorder, and ptsd…and certainly others. In fact, mainstream psychology fully recognizes and affirms the reality of personality segments and employs methods of interaction, although it is held that they can not re-incorporate, but can simply ‘cooperate’ together and get along. This is because mainstream psychology is lacking the Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead (!) that washes away the effects of sin and therefore all human trauma does not need to remain. Therefore…segments can ‘reincorporate’, or join together back into the main personality, and the person can become while again. When this happens they gain access to what was previously buried or only available to them in mood swings: emotions, memories, many components of their personality can now rejoin them and they can be one unified person.
Rules for operation: respect, mutuality, and honor. Remember with each split you are meeting a new person. Introduce yourself and be polite. Then check and make sure it’s not a demon, if it is, drop the cordiality and treat it with authority and firmness, make it leave, exposing its roots as necessary. Listen to Holy Spirit.
Interfacing: Have whom you are praying for relax, lay back, ask Holy Spirit to breathe peace all over them, and ask Him to bring the segments forward. Ask how many their are, and invite each one “up” to talk. They may or may not come to the surface, but either way it will feel like a sort of interview. Follow the rules of operation and navigate the segment towards interacting with Jesus, getting saved and healed, and reincorporating into the primary person again.
Segment behavior: segments goals are always oriented around defending and protecting the individual they are a part of. Similar to demonic spirits, they may ‘come up to the surface’ in a persons’ face and fully pilot the mouth/eyes, or they may stay ‘below surface’ and the main personality will work as the middle man with a clear voice of the segment in their mind answering questions.
Where are they? Segments spiritually, I believe, are located in what we call the “soul”…when asked where they are they always seem to describe a large room with a variety of things in it. If you have invited the Holy Spirit into the physical place where you are praying, then Jesus is always present in the segments room (it is always vital you encourage the segment to go ask Jesus questions and talk with Him…He really does!), also the segment when asked what color they are wearing will indicate a color which always will have a significant meaning, but always negative unless it is pure white (it is unknown exactly why this is true but many exciting scriptural ideas I have pondered…), they will also sometimes have objects on their hands or feet or head (generally negative) and sometimes others are in the room (generally only other segments, demons, angels, or Jesus.)
The goal is for individual interaction with segments to lead to them being saved, dressed in pure white with no other adornments, no demons around them, and escorted by Jesus back into wholeness with the person.
This process can take some time because segments have a will, and can be resistant for a number of reasons. But go ahead and ask them what those reasons are and they will tell you. Remember, they are a part of the person being prayed for. So they share almost every perspective except for that which they exclusively represent, a group of emotions/feelings/memories of that person…but in all other respects they are the same. Generally the final reincorporation process will revolve around the segment deciding after interacting with Jesus that He is trustworthy, then they surrender their sort of job or role to protect their primary personality from similar trauma that created them, very often involving forgiveness, and follow Jesus into a light or door. This seems to mean going back into the place of oneness with the person.
LISTEN TO HOLY SPIRIT. Continually ask Him what to do and be prompting who you are praying for to ask Holy Spirit what to do next.
YOU DONT NEED THE ANSWERS. Jesus knows the answers. Our job is simply to ask Him what the next answer is.
