Occult Calendar

The following days are considered sacred days for rites and rituals, from various religious groups that interact with unclean spirits (Wicca/Pagan/Masonic/Voodoo/Etc).

The intention here is to create an easily referencable list for intercession and protection prayer purposes!

February 1st – Candelmas/Imbolc (Wicca) Often used as an initiation day for new members, along with casting of “manifestation spells”.

February 15th – Lupercalia (Satanism) Celebration of bodily autonomy, sexual liberation, and reproduction…Based on the Roman festival of the same name, Lupercalia falls on February 15. In keeping with the ancient tradition, February 13th and 14th are observed as feast days leading up to the actual holiday.

March 19-23 – Ostara/Spring Equinox/Astrological New Year (Wicca)

April 19-May 1: Grand Climax – In certain occult calendars, this period is associated with heightened ritual activity.

April 30- Walpurgis Night/Beltane Eve/Hexennacht (Wicca/Satanism) In Satanism this is a day to honor their fallen. In Wiccan, this is known as a night when the veil between worlds is thin, associated with witchcraft and spirit communication. Known as “Witches’ Night,” it’s associated with the gathering of witches and the arrival of spring.

May 1: Beltane – A fire festival in Wiccan and Pagan traditions celebrating fertility and the blossoming of life. Sexual and sensuality rituals are performed.

June 19-23 – Litha/Summer Solstice (Wicca) “the festival of divine inspiration” in which darkness is celebrated. Marks the longest day of the year, celebrated with rituals.

June 24th – St. John’s Feast Day (Masonic) The founding of the first Grand Lodge of Freemasons in 1717

July 25th – Unveiling Day (Satanism) On July 25, 2015, The Satanic Temple unveiled Baphomet to a large crowd of devotees in Detroit, signaling the beginning of the new Satanic era. They observe this “milestone” in Satanic history by celebrating Unveiling Day.

August 1 – Lughnasadh/Lammas/August Eve (Wicca) A feast day in which offerings are given to the earth, a ritual performed at moonlight.

September 19-23 – Mabon/Fall Equinox (Wicca) Standard Wiccan Equinox feast day in which pentagrams are preferred.

October 31 – Samhain/Hallows Eve (Wicca/Satanism/Voodoo) Samhain is considered to be the day when the veil between the spirit world and the living world is as thin as can be, so many who do not normally experience the spirit world might at this time of year. Many witches celebrate this sabbat with yet another feast that includes a place set at the table for ancestors and other members of the dead. Ancestor veneration, divination, and rituals to honor the dead are performed.

December 20-23 – Yule/Winter Solstice (Wicca) Upon the Winter Solstice at around December 21st, Yule begins and lasts until January 1st.

December 27th – St. John The Evangelist Feast Day (Masonic) Significant in Scottish lodges as it is associated with election of Grand Masters in historic Lodges.
