Jezebel & Ahab

“The spirit is the problem, not the person. Many under its influence are unaware and hurting themselves.”

This section will cover the specifics of the spirits of Jezebel and Ahab. They will be covered together as they, very uniquely, tend to work in tandem.

Most spirits are named by their characteristics, these are an exception. If they were named like usual, they would be called the spirit of Demonic Submission (Ahab) and the Spirit of Control (Jezebel). The goal of Ahab is submission, the goal of Jezebel is Control.

JEZEBEL is a very common “strongman” or demon in highest rank assigned to a person. It has a variety of methods and strategies, and is very cunning.

Ahab and Jezebel work together very specifically to target marriages and ministries within the Church, and one of their primary tools is soul tie creation. Because of this, one of the best defenses against Jezebel is to have healthy gender boundaries (not allowing individual men to pray for individual women etc but to be in pairs or groups) and to have a culture of inner healing in general and specifically for the leadership to operate in for their own sake.

The initial open door often (not always) comes from gender specific trauma, whether it be sexual sin or sexism.

Ahab usually employs tools of shame and apathy. Jezebel always oppresses and Ahab (who often feels frustrated and helpless to challenge her) and Jezebel always has control (the final say in a situation). Ahab has false authority, Jezebel will have the actual authority despite appearances or titles.

When partnered with a religious spirit, Jezebel often uses weeping as a tool to convince when put on a stage (this does NOT mean all weeping is demonic…please discern. A helpful hint is Jezebel is never edifying to others, only shows off.)

JEZEBEL INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Pray the following Prayer if in your household, inner community, or church has Jezebel/Ahab present in it.

Father, I come to you in the authority of the name of Jesus and I ask you to take authority over the spirits of Jezebel and Ahab. I ask you God to release the Hounds of Heaven from 1 Kings 21:23 and I ask you to bind and spirits of witchcraft, lust, seduction, intimidation, idolatry, apathy, and control in my home, my friends homes, and my church.

In Jesus name, I cut off the assignment of Jezebel against the ministers of God, 1 Kings 19:2, and I loose tribulation against the kingdom of Jezebel, Revelation 2:22.

I rebuke all spirits of false teaching, and I ask you God for spiritual discernment from Heaven, that I would see as you see and not be in any form of fear or paranoia. “For you have not given us a Spirit of Fear, but one of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.” Thank you God and I release and welcome Power and Love from Heaven into my home and into my church community. I ask for guidance and revelation in combatting Jezebel and Ahab. I ask you God to search my heart and if there is anything sinful in me related to Jezebel & Ahab, that you would reveal it to me that I can repent of it.
