The Inner Mapping Method

Beginning to determine the demonic hierarchy assigned to your life is extraordinarily helpful, as it allows for the following victories:

A totally complete and thorough deliverance
A clear guide for inner healing
A post-care constant reminder of how to stay free
Highly specific and effective personal intercession and personal spiritual warfare, for yourself and your descendants!

To say it more concisely: The goal of both deliverance and inner healing should primarily always be to determine the active dwellings of any enemy spirits and tear them down.

The following concepts have not been assembled not from mental pursuit or research, but have instead been the fruition of experiences with Holy Spirit ever since an impartation of discernment of spirits I had in 2017. I will often see visual layouts when I pray for others, with a variety of meanings. Regularly as time has gone on I will have visions in daily solitude prayer times from Holy Spirit, visions that I still am trying to understand. What is spoken about is within our inner realm, our soul, mind, will, and emotions. It is still becoming clear to me how this interplay works in this invisible world that is clearly written behind ours. The Holy Spirit is assuredly using allegory and illustrations to instruct and equip our understanding. In this process I will continue to update this page.

Imagine a fictional medieval world, not too dissimilar from the middle earth of Tolkien. This is your internal world, it’s an illustration of your heart/mind/soul and how they interact. Rolling verdant hills, beautiful castles, and knights shining in plated armor.

In this world, there is always the enemy, roaming as a group of bandits are those assigned to your life.

When the bandits do not have a place to rest, their effectiveness is limited, only able to shoot arrows from afar and unable to effectively siege or capture any land or holdings of their own.

But if they are able to build a small camp, they can establish a place of rest and supply that allows them to come and go far easier and have an influence on the realm (the human) far more effectively.

The building materials (legal rights) of a stronghold (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) as far as I can tell so far are limited to Sin against you, Sin committed by you, and lies you’ve believed. These are the “legal rights”. So this is why when we work thru the dismantling of strongholds as an inner healing process, we are bulldozing the dwellings (access points) of the enemy. So the enemy is made to be a homeless brigand in our land, which is much better and easier to defend against than them having a permanent home! The effects of the enemy in this state are much more limited and ultimately felt external to the believer rather than internal.

Blood rituals, freemasonry, and occult activity in the family line create pre-built demonic dwellings in a person at birth. That is why it is important to find out if a person has had involvement with any occult practice or family who are practitioners. In general I think it’s accurate to say that many of the standard rules and principles that would apply to an understanding of inner healing all seem to change when witchcraft (any form of intentional demonic ritual and interaction) is present.

So the enemy moves in, establishes a small camp thru an event of childhood trauma, building it using unforgiveness for a wrong doing and even getting the believer to agree with a small lie in the context of that pain. Years go by, and the enemy orchestrates a similar situation and is able to manipulate the believer into committing a sin (associated with this spirits’ type and strategy) and the small camp grows and is becoming a large encampment. Now it is guarded, there are more demons coming and going under this associated spirit’s command, and it is influencing with greater authority the believer’s life, according to the type and strategy of the spirit (see Luke 11:21-22).

Dismantle the camp! Tear down its walls and make the enemy homeless!

Discernment

As the hierarchy(s)of the enemy are discovered, particularly if someone with discernment of spirits is available, begin to illustrate a layout of the enemy strongholds, functions, and the names of the members. As these things are helpful to the believer’s self-awareness and prayer life, Holy Spirit will reveal them as we ask Him so that we can understand and more effectively pray. See below for examples.

Demonic hierarchy within an enemy group:

(Sometimes there are multiple enemy groups, particularly when people have had occult involvement. The following example is just the structure of one)

Standard enemy group rules: “Strategist” (1 or occasionally 2 present, oversees and enforces overall startegy regarding the assigned person)…”Lieutenants” (2-4, carry out the orders of the Strategist)…Guards(1)(prevents from receiving ministry, sometimes also a lieutenant)…Footsoldier/Feeders (4-5, these underlings use temptation to cause sin and fleshly acts to empower the strategist and associated lieutenants).

To be clear, this structure is totally separate from the concept of legal rights, which dictate how much permission has been granted to a spirit to influence a person. The above picture of average hierarchy is a depiction of strategic order, who is taking orders from whom, a literal military ranking. Strangely, this does not coincide with levels of influence via legal rights. A lieutenant may have significantly more legal rights than the “Strategist”, but because of their respective ranking, the higher rank is able to influence the person (in a minor way) via the open door of the lieutenant under it.

Think of it this way: if you rented out a room in your home to an evil gangster, he has permission to dwell there because of the rental lease. You must go through an eviction process to break this lease! In the meantime, the gangsters’ friends, boss, and underlings come to visit regularly. They can affect things in the house but not as much as the gangster with a lease. If you are unaware and are spiritually passive, the gangsters’ boss and/or underlings will eventually manipulate you into signing a lease for them as well! This creates an infestation where multiple members of the demonic hierarchy have legal rights to access and influence you (In this specific situation I would call the initial spirit the “door opener”).

Another point to consider is that knowing the structure of the demonic assignment on your life does not necessarily mean you are infested! Each member of the hierarchy may be a “strong man” in a different area. They must have their own legal roots, or none at all, or be visitors to another members legal right. If there are no legal rights present then congratulations, but the battle is never over as you now have “brigands” wandering your lands, albeit they are weak and homeless!

What is a “Strong man”?

In Luke 11, verse 14, it says “And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute; when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed.”

And after being interrupted, Jesus explains, “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. But when someone stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, he takes away from him all his armor on which he had relied and distributes his plunder.”

The connotations here are clear, I believe Jesus was teaching about healing after having done it! He was explaining what happened to the mute man. The unclean spirit affecting the man had a specific type of effect on the man, so that when it was cast out, his voice returned to him. It seems the spirit had authority over his voice! This tells us a couple things:

1. Since a strong man is any kind or rank of spirit that has dominion over an area of a believer. This means that a given demonic hierarchy assigned to a person may have only one lesser spirit in the hierarchy that has legal rights (is a strong man in an area of the persons life). This would create a situation in which the demon of highest rank, usually the Strategist, is not necessarily a “strong man” in that they may be overseeing their Lieutenants but do not directly rule over an area.

2. We also know that multiple demons with legal rights can inhabit a person. This would indicate multiple “strong men” inhabiting different areas and therefore having different effect on a person. It is likely they are in a demonic group, with associated hierarchy. It’s also likely this was indicated when it says that Mary of Magdalene had seven demons removed from her (Luke 8:2).

What is a “demonic cycle”?

A system of attacks or effects that self-perpetuate (create a physiological habit in the human). Once the cycle is broken, the person must break the habit! But the habit simply will not be broken if the spiritual initiation of the cycle isn’t broken. This is done by recognizing with Holy Spirit the legal rights associated with a cycle.

In some cases, it’s as simple as systematically breaking the legal rights associated with a given spirit that initiates the cycle. Often there is a Footsoldier/Feeder that does the job of initiating with a small sin that prompts the larger cycle. Sometimes Holy Spirit simply reveals a key to unlock breakthrough in the situation. Where does Jesus live?

In this parabolic vision Holy Spirit has given us, these ancient lands represent our innermost being. So where is Jesus? Where does Holy Spirit fit in?

The Holy Spirit must be given permission to dwell in us, just as any other spirit must! So too we must allow Him to build dwellings in us, giving Him access and therefore greater Lordship.

I believe when we are saved, we grant Jesus Lordship over our inner Kingdom. But any King must still establish authority and rule over His lands. This to the Christian is surrender. As we live, we give more to Him, as we surrender more of ourselves, His Lordship increases and so does His ability to access us fully and move through us. It is not dissimilar from any other Spirit, except that YHWH is the only one made for us!

Psalm 34:7: The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.

John 14:17: that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
